Mr. Ayres has been a CTE computer, finance and business teacher, accreditation coordinator and BPA Advisor for 3 years here at Payette River Regional Technical Academy. As a fellow teacher working with him, I proudly and confidently offer a strong recommendation of him.

I can tell you that he is well liked by students, teachers and administrators. He goes up and above for students and they achieve a great deal. He uses many varied teaching techniques and brings the outside world into the classroom creating an intrinsic motivation. He is a team player as he collaborates with teachers, has a positive relationship with administrators and communicates student’s progress to parents on a consistent basis.

Payette River Regional Technical Academy serves approximately 400 students each year. This year PR2TA went through the 5 year accreditation process. Mr. Ayres was the accreditation coordinator and all teachers worked together toward 5 more years of accreditation through Cognia. It was a difficult process, at times, but Mr. Ayres confidently led us through an organized progression of tasks that earned PR2TA scores that are quite a bit higher than average. He has a vast knowledge of accreditation standards, CTE and core standards, Idaho policy and law.

Mr. Ayres is also the region 3 BPA coordinator. This year was Payette River’s turn to host the regional competition and conference. He coordinated most events with over 100 students in approximately 12 school districts. I was one of the judges and from my vantage point, it was well organized and extremely successful. He significantly motivates people around him. This year one of his students took first place in the state of Idaho in “Personal Finance” after that student took Mr. Ayres’ class and 2nd place in the nation. Five students qualified for national competition out of a total of 12.

I highly recommend Mr. John Ayres to any school district, college or university whether it be administration or teaching.
